ToF 3D Camera for Long-Range Depth Detection and Robotic Vision | Cube-eye

The Cube-eye S130D ToF 3D camera is designed for accurate distance measurement and real-time depth sensing in robotics, logistics, and industrial automation. Powered by a Samsung ISOCELL ToF image sensor, it captures 3D information at up to 30 frames per second and measures distances ranging from 0.2 to 6 meters. Its compact design and extended sensing range support wider-area coverage from a single installation position.

What Are the Main Capabilities of the Cube-eye S130D?

The S130D combines high-resolution depth imaging, measurement accuracy, and processing support for demanding 3D vision applications.

  • Long-distance detection: This long-range target camera measures targets within a 0.2–6m range.
  • Precise depth measurement: Provides 10mm accuracy up to 1m and approximately 1% accuracy by distance.
  • VGA imaging: Delivers true 640 × 480 resolution for depth sensing.
  • Real-time data output: Supports 7.5, 15, and 30fps, with Depth, Amplitude, and Point Cloud output formats.
  • Integrated processing support: An ASIC companion chip helps reduce the host system’s processing workload.
  • Flexible connectivity: Offers MIPI CSI-2 and USB 3.0 interfaces.

Designed for Robotics and Industrial Integration

With a 60° horizontal and 45° vertical field of view, the S130D supports spatial awareness for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), smart logistics, object detection, navigation, and industrial automation. Compatibility with Linux, Windows, Android, ROS1, ROS2, Raspberry Pi, and NVIDIA Jetson supports integration into different development environments.

The industrial 3d camera uses a 940nm VCSEL light source rated at 2W and operates on a 5V DC input. Average power consumption is 1.5W, with a peak of 15W. Operating temperatures range from 0°C to 40°C, and the camera is specified for indoor ambient lighting conditions.

S130D Hardware Specifications

Available in MIPI and USB versions, the camera measures 64 × 15 × 20.29mm and weighs 11.8g in the MIPI configuration, while the USB version measures 65 × 28.5 × 27.9mm and weighs 20.2g. It carries IEC 60825-1:2014 (3rd Edition) Class 1 eye-safety certification.

Why choose the Cube-eye S130D?

Its combination of 6-meter sensing, VGA resolution, real-time depth data, and versatile interfaces makes it suitable for compact 3D vision systems used in robotics, logistics, and industrial automation.
