If you’ve only got a couple of hours each week to devote to an MMO,

World of Warcraft Classic turned into something when Blizzard finally gave in subsequent years of gamers calling for a return to the’vanilla’ experience of Warcraft. Warcraft 3 was probably the most popular of those early games and introduced us to a number of the characters that goes on to play huge roles in World of Warcraft, such as Sylvanas Windrunner, Jaina Proudmore, and Arthas Menethil, among others.

When World of Warcraft launched in 2004, all the lore, history, and locations that was laid out from the earlier Warcraft games have been brought to life within Blizzard’s vast MMO.

If you’ve only got a couple of hours each week to devote to an MMO, Classic might not be the game for you and you may be better off looking at modern Warcraft to fill that Azeroth-shaped hole. Having said this, if you are not especially concerned with endgame content like raiding or max-level dungeons and only wish to explore Azeroth as it had been in 2006 then by all means, continue. But if you would like to enjoy everything that Classic has to offer, then you should be prepared to spend a great deal of time not only levelling your personality however completing various Attunement quests and grinding standing to access some of those late-game instances.

World of Warcraft Classic does not have those quality-of-life improvements that you may be accustomed to in contemporary Warcraft – or indeed many other current MMOs. For starters, the climbing of enemies is a whole lot less forgiving and you could end up becoming rapidly overwhelmed it you simply take on over two enemies at once without preparation. Travelling from one place to another in Classic Azeroth is also much more time intensive – flight factors aren’t as plentiful as they are these days and using in-game gold less readily come by, you may find yourself unable to save even buy your initial Riding Skill and mount.
