The children are future of our country, they are the foundation of any nation, in order to make them competent to make sound decisions we need to make sure that they have the proper education, a collaborative environment, and the ability to make effective decisions… At Preschool ages, these skills begin developing, that’s why we should start making efforts from these ages. Risks and children’s readiness entering preschool, the atmospheres they learn to thrive in, and the people in their lives that help to mold them and point them in the right directions are concerns that we as the older generation should be apprehensive of.
There are four main dimensions that lead to learning; competence motivation, attention/persistence, strategy/flexibility, and attitude toward learning. Unfortunately like everything else, for the positive side there is a negative side to preschool child behaviors. Problem behaviors (externalized behaviors) such as aggression and (internalized behaviors) social withdrawal can be early signs of risk factors associated with learning difficulties. Behaviors such as these, can lead to literacy and mathematics difficulties as well as other communication competency issues.
There are many preschools/Kindergartens you will find across globe to provide your child the best preschooling education but some institutions are expert in Preschooling education. Hatchlings Rochedale is among them. At Early Learning Centre Rochedale, you will find the best opportunity for your child. We focused on improving motivation, persistence and brainstorming among children.
These communication skills such as vocabulary and sentence structure and kids learning may be harder for children who internalize to grasp due to their lack of engagement with others. Although externalizing behaviors have effects on school competencies as well, internalizing behaviors tend to affect communication competencies more. This could be because they are not practicing communication skills with teachers and peers as often as the other students are and therefore do not grasp the concepts as quickly as those practicing these skills more often.
Attentiveness is one of the behaviors that must be utilized in the process of competence mastery. Low attention abilities lead to lower academic scores which can put children behind in the kindergarten readiness category; the process from preschool to kindergarten is almost as important as being ready for preschool. If a child cannot focus on the task at hand, it is harder for them to achieve competence in this avenue. Children acting with high levels of attention and persistence abilities as well as positive attitude toward learning showed low levels of disruptive play behaviors with their peers; this helps them to practice and reinforce competence among others. At this age, children’s ability to focus and sustain attention is associated with their abilities to control their emotions. This control and regulation of emotions begins to become evident around the age of two, when they begin to actively try to manipulate their environment.
Although problems with mal-adaptive behaviors can create lower initial grades/competence, they lead to greater overall growth during the year than their peers who begin with greater competences. This could be because teachers tend to spend more time and focused instruction with these children to bring them up to the same competence levels as their peers. As a result, although they make more growth throughout the year, in the end all of the children tend to fall around the same level of competency.
