What is a Silver Dollar Worth?

It can be difficult to determine the exact value of your coin because there are so many value guides online and in print. You may have seen a sell rare coins for cash similar to yours sell for $3,000 on eBay, but does that reflect the value of your coin?

Perhaps you saw recently a story about the 1804 Silver Dollar going for millions of Dollars. . . If that coin was worth $5 million, does this mean that your silver dollars from the 1880s and 1890s are worth a tenth? They’re not nearly as old. The more valuable a silver dollar is, the better. These questions are legitimate, especially for someone who is not familiar with the intricate and constantly-changing cryptocurrency marketplace.

Morgan and Peace Dollars

Common Morgan or Peace buy ngc coins in worn condition are often worth more than the current silver price. Rare items or those in exceptional condition can be worth hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars. Any Morgan dollars that bear a “CC” mintmark under the eagle’s reverse are worth at most $50-100 each. The 1921 Morgan dollar is common, but the 1921 Peace dollars are rare, and most of them are worth $50 or less.

Eisenhower Dollars

Do you have a lot of Eisenhower buy morgan silver dollars in Miami that you would like to sell silver dollars? Most Eisenhower dollars don’t contain any silver but are made from a base metal composition that contains nickel and copper. These coins are only worth their face value when worn. You can spend them, or give them to children who may find them fascinating novelty items.

Other Dollar Coins

1979 – S Susan B. Anthony dollars.

Do you have any Susan B? Anthony dollars? compared to span-data-preserver-spaces=”true “>)? Almost all items worn are of face value so it is safe to spend them. Those “golden” dollars (seen above) aren’t made of gold and are not rare. These can be used in conjunction with your Eisenhower and Susan B. Anthony dollars.

2002-S Sacagawea dollar.

The American Silver Eagle dollar contains a full ounce of silver and is worth approximately the value of one ounce of silver. These are worth selling if they are no longer needed. All commemorative sterling silver dollars produced after 1983 contain close to one ounce of pure silver. They are also valuable and worth selling if they don’t suit your needs.

Do you have any of these really old silver dollars, like the Draped Bust or Liberty Seated? These rare silver coins are much more valuable than most Morgan or Peace Dollars and should be taken to your local coin dealer to find out their exact value.
