We have collected a list of the most common mistakes that people do on a consistent basis so that we may be on the lookout for them and take the necessary steps to avoid making them. This is because many people make the same mistakes over and over again. If you purchase our Package for Umrah, you will be able to avoid the majority of these problems. If we do the Hajj in this way, it will be more in accordance with the Sunnah and, as a result, more agreeable to Allah.
Supposing that your prayer would be accepted if you only looked in the direction of the Kaaba:
One of the most widespread misunderstandings is that if you pray in front of the Kaaba for the very first time, all of your requests would be answered. Not so! This is against to the Shariah and cannot be done. And whatever hadith that one may find on the topic is either very shaky or utterly fabricated from whole cloth.
Making a Tawaf stop to “kiss” the Black Stone from a distance:
It is a stunning Sunnah and a great honor to be allowed to do so. Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority of individuals are unable to get there due to the massive crowd. Many people attempt to “kiss” it distantly. To execute tawaf, one must be in line with the Black Stone, halt, face it, lift both arms above the head, and give the stone an air kiss as if it were in front of them. The Black Stone is yet another possible victim of “flying kisses.” Stopping the Tawaf flow is not only improper, but it also creates chaos and enormous crowds of people around, which is very uncomfortable for other pilgrims. What we just did was the last action. It is recommended that, if we are distant from the Black Stone, we point to it with our right hand, shout “Allahu Akbar,” and then go on. No “distance kissing,” turning away from the Kaaba, or sudden stops are permitted. It would disturb the Tawaf if you stopped.
They have a leader, such as an Imam, who recites the Du’as aloud while the followers echo him or her.
Making a chorus of du’a while raising voices to the heavens. Many people who are praying nearby get distracted, which makes them lose their concentration and Khushoo’. The Haram is a revered site. It follows, as is evident, that loud discourse has no place there. To get the most out of your Tawaf, you should have prepared your prayers (Duas), Qur’anic recitals, and other rituals beforehand. You do not have to worry about offending anybody if you make your own special Du’a in your own language and from the bottom of your heart. You will become more focused and joyful.
Assigning different Du’as to different rounds:
For each round, different Du’as are mentioned in books. Such behavior contravenes Islamic law. The Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions did not recite any particular Du’a throughout the rounds. He would have informed us and everyone else first if such were the case.
Making Tawaf on someone else’s behalf:
In order to make atonement for the souls of their departed ancestors or living relatives, those who complete the seven-circuit Tawaf around the Kaaba must behave in their best interests. Family members and friends may request that the pilgrim “make one Tawaf on their behalf” while doing the Hajj or Umrah. There is no proof to back this up. It must thus be disregarded. Hajj and Umrah may be conducted on behalf of another individual, however Tawaf cannot.
Repeated Umrahs:
After performing the first Umrah, some Muslims do further ones, leaving Makkah for Masjid Ayesha (Tan’eem) or another Meeqat place to put on fresh Ihram and repeat the ritual. Some Muslims do the Umrah many times each day. This goes against what we already know about the Sunnah as well as what the Sahabah did. Instead of doing several Umrahs, it is encouraged that you perform as many Tawaf as you can. Any other city outside Makkah would be sacrilegious for the Tawaf to be performed. As a result, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance.
Mistaking the Jamarat for the Devil:
Some people believe that when they stone the Jamarat, they are stoning devils. They are so sure of themselves that they never even hint that they are stoning Iblees. “Stone the Shaitan” is the name given to this action. This is a reality, however. The Jamarat does not include demons. In order to respect Allah and emulate the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), as you have done for as long as the tradition has been, stone these Jamarat. There is no excuse for becoming angry, using foul language, or putting anyone’s physical safety in jeopardy while at the Jamarat.
Some individuals believe that touching the Kaaba or the Maqam Ibrahim would bestow benefits upon them. Others believe that touching the pillars of the Grand Mosque or the Mosque of the Prophet would bring them luck, thus they do so before washing their hands. Another conduct that contravenes Islamic law. These deeds were not done by the Prophet (PBUH). A worthy task would have motivated him to finish it. However, he didn’t, and neither will we.
Making 40 Madina prayers:
Many Muslims believe that doing the equivalent of 40 prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque is a necessary component of the Hajj. You are mistaken. An unreliable Hadith serves as justification for this. To conduct the Hajj, one does not have to offer 40 prayers or go to Madina. It is recommended to stay as long as possible in Madina and to go to the Prophet’s Mosque often to pray, although it is erroneous to think that one must do 40 prayers there.
Remember the advice given above, and refrain from doing any unnecessary actions. To avoid this kind of misunderstanding, it is suggested that you Google “best umrah packages” first. Then, pick the most comprehensive plan that meets your demands.
